Synopsis : Storm (Elemental #1)
Review :
Merrick brothers live and stand by their own feet. They have no one but brothers. Michael is the eldest, Nick and Gabriel are twins, and Chris is the youngest brother. One day Chris getting beaten up by bunch of kids behind the school. Her classmate, Becca passed by and couldn't help but stop her car and threatened to call police. At first she just want to help, but then it gets complicated. She gets involved with Merrick brothers more than she wanted. *smirk*

Merrick Brothers are smokin' hot and they are not ordinary. They are Elementals. Each of them has powers. Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. People in town thought they were very dangerous and kids at school despised them. Anyway, there's a new kid in town named Hunter. He's mysterious, intriguing, and he seems to like Becca so much.

At first I'm not quite sure which I like most, Chris or Hunter. They both seem so nice to Becca. But then I've settled on Chris. I like his honesty, his sensitivity and I love his courage to protect Becca whenever she gets humiliated by boys at school. It's not like Hunter doesn't do the same, it's just that he wasn't always there when she needed him. I still like Hunter, tho. He seems so sincere at all.

I like this series pretty much. Storm isn't just about powers, boys and girls dating, etc. It is also how Becca struggled to defend herself and how she could be so strong and patient to face horrible things that had happened in her life. She's such a brave person and now she's one of my favorite heroine :) I also love the cover that I'm free to have wild imagination  MySpaceMySpace

  1. Storm by Brigid Kemmerer is one of those books that I thought looked interesting, that I thought I would like, but totally took me by surprise not only in story but also without how much I genuinely loved it.

Storm starts off with a bang. There's enough so I can get a sense of Becca and what her character is like, but then there's action almost immediately and I was immediately sucked into the story because I had to know what was going on in Storm.

I was initially concerned by the fact that there might be some sort of love square or love pentagon or something, because all of the brothers in Storm are smoking. I would have been happy to see Becca with any of them. Luckily, I guess, that of course was just my imagination and it sorted itself out. But man, these brothers. Love them all.

And the story that goes down in Storm? Loved it. Storm is the only real elemental focused book that I can think of off the top of my head, so it was all original and interesting to me. I loved the lore Brigid Kemmerer built up around the brothers - the backstory and lore was definitely well crafted.

  2. yesss. when I looked at the cover for the first time, I immediately fall in love with it. and when i read the book, i love it more and more. this book is super awesome.

  3. I'm dying to read this book *lebay ;p*
I love the synopsis, the cover (the boys, the blue color).
