This review is going to be the shortest review ever, because I really don't want spoil anything to you who haven't read it. What I am going to say is You.Need.to.Read.This.Book, no matter how asdfghjhkl it ends. When I finished this book, my reaction was like so, that's it? Is that all? I like it, but I can't say that I'm satisfied with the ending, though. I was hoping for something more like jaw-dropping fact, specific and reasonable to this mystery but it failed me. It's like a mind blowing story, but not in a good way. I was totally blown away by Silas and Charlie's story who got their memories lost for no reason, and their ways to get their memories back. But geezzz, that's the lamest reason ever! 

However, I still adore the writing, it was really good and made me stayed up all night to read it. It's not my first time reading Colleen's book so I know she won't disappoint me, and Tarryn's writing isn't bad at all. Thumbs up for these two superb authors. Funny thing is when Colleen herself rated her book with one star only lol. She is so cute!

Well, I will just share my favorite quotes of Silas that would make every girl swoon, it might sound cheesy, cliche, corny, you name it, but I love it! Silas is the most charming, gentle and considerate man ever :)

"What is the one thing you're the most scared of forgetting?"

"You." 

"I would rather have lost my memory again with her than to have her be alone in this. At least when we were in it together, we knew it was something we could work together." 

"I know I have said it before, but I love that we still write letters to each other. Texts got deleted and conversations fade, but I swear I'll have every single letter you've ever written me until the day I die."

They say that even when the world seems unfair to you or nothing feels right, but always be grateful in any situation because there is always something to be thankful for. "It just seems like maybe we were ungrateful. A little bit spoiled. I'm not sure our parents taught us how to be decent humans. So in a way. . . I'm grateful this happened to us."

Charlie and Silas,

If you don't know why you're reading this, then you've forgotten everything.

You recognize no one, not even yourself.

Just imagine when you only have 48 hours to remember everything about yourself and the next second of it you remember nothing like who you are, where you are, and why you can't remember anything. It just happened over and over again without no explanation of why it happened. No one was there to help you except the letters that you wrote by yourself. Horrible, isn't it?

That's what happened to Silas and Charlie. This is the second part of the Never Never series, and this time Charlie is nowhere to be found. She was missing since the night she and Silas had an argument. Here we got a new fact that their families have a history together but then Charlie's father went to jail and he insisted that Silas's father was behind all of this. Everything was torn apart including the relationship that Silas and Charlie had.

I still have no clue about what's behind all of this and it's frustrating me. But I loveee everything about this story, the uncertainty, the mystery, and all. The authors are extremely good on this thing. I hope I'll be satisfied with the ending and get a reasonable reason of this mystery. Last but not least, Silas is still my favorite person and I really hope he and Charlie will get a good ending in the end. *fingers crossed*

All of a sudden, they have absolutely no memory of who they are, where they live, why they can't remember anything. Everything just went blank. Both of them are so scared and fascinated at the same time. How could it just happen without them knowing? 

They have no information about themselves. They only thing they know is that they were once dating and now they are not. They have no choice but to stick together in order to figure out what was happening before this mystery happened. Their friends thought they were a bit off but that seems less important than the reason of why nothing rings the bell. Nothing is familiar but Charlie for Silas, and Silas for Charlie. 

"You are letting her drive your car? Are you kidding me? You've never even let me sit behind the damn wheel!"

"You aren't the one I'm in love with."

What a cliffhanger ending! The authors really know how to tease their readers. I like Silas in present. But I still can't decide if I like him in his past too. Although he can't remember anything, but his love for Charlie just stay there and vice versa. This book is a great one. I never read anything like this before, and the idea was so fresh. I didn't surprise when I can't put it down even just a second because it was that good.

"This isn't a game I want to win, Charlie. If anything, I'd say we both lost."

Dugaan paling kuat jatuh kepada profesi dokter. Tapi seseorang telah mengambil sumpah untuk menjadi yang terdepan dalam hal menolong orang, bukan sebaliknya. Well, seperti peribahasa "Anjing menggonggong, kafilah berlalu", Eve mengira semua akan berlalu seiring dengan berjalannya waktu. Semua itu membuatnya bingung, kecewa, dan sedih luar biasa. Untungnya ada suaminya Roarke yang selalu setia menemaninya. Berbicara tentang Roarke, betapa saya kangen sekali dengan sosok satu ini. Dia mengerti Eve luar dalam, sangat pengertian dengan jam kerja dan cara kerja Eve, dan kaya luar biasa. Bukan hanya itu, Roarke, apa sih yang nggak bisa dilakukan oleh pria Irish satu ini? <3

Terakhir kali saya membaca In Death series itu di tahun 2011. Kebayang sudah 5 tahun lamanya saya tidak melanjutkan membaca series ini. Bukan karena ceritanya tidak bagus tapi melainkan karena series ini puanjangggggg sekali. Sampai saat ini ada 42 buku yang tercatat di Goodreads (belum termasuk novella) Nah, tahun ini saya berkomitmen untuk terus membaca series ini semampu saya, sesanggup saya, ga muluk - muluk, minimal 5 buku harus kelar untuk series ini. In Death adalah serial yang wajib kamu baca jika kamu menyukai genre misteri dan pembunuhan. Jika tidak suka pada genre tsb pun kamu masih bisa membaca seri ini dan pasti akan menyukainya.

Sky's life is a complete mess.

I've come to the point that I don't even know how to start writing the review because her past and present's life is so complicated. Not only Sky's but her mother's, Holder's and everyone's. As a teenager, making friends with lots of people will give you benefits to shine. But for some people who only make friends to one or two persons, most of them are usually get bullied, verbally attacked, etc. Sky is used to be home-schooled and now she get the chance to study at public school. But things don't work out really well for her. Being Six's best friend give her a bad reputation but she doesn't care at all. Only a few know and understand her while the others are busy judging what they thought they know. 

"You have to let it go. You can hold on to the hate and the love and even the bitterness, but you have to let go of the blame. The blame is what's tearing you down, babe."

This story isn't simply just tell us about love between two young people. It is much more than that. It has deep meaning and involves every themes that we could think about such as bullying, friendship, truth and lies, rape, etc. I think the author has done a very good job. I'd never think about this plot and the mystery isn't very easy to guess. Since the beginning, the author has made us curious about who is the guy Sky met at the grocery store? , why Sky's mother Karen won't allow her to have phone and using internet?, etc.

I really love the chemistry between Sky and Holder that have developed since their first meeting. Although I can guarantee that a man like Holder is one in a million and maybe only exist in romance novels, but I really like how he loves Sky so much and would do everything to win her heart. Same goes to Sky who kind of have a bad thought of him at first but then fall in love with him for all that he has done for her.

"Because I want your first kiss to be the best first kiss in the history of first kisses."
"Fuck all the firsts, Sky. The only thing that matters to me with you are the forevers."

Points that I get :

1. When a man likes you, he will make an effort to get to know you better.

2. If he likes you enough, your differences won't matter to him.

3. Dimples can be so intriguing. You will never know until you meet the one.  

You're in love when :

1. You have butterflies in your stomach whenever you met him. 

2. You spent so many times just to pick clothes to wear before you meet him. Normally it only takes 5 - 10 min to dress up but now it takes much longer to decide what to wear. 

3. You can't stop wondering what he/she is probably thinking of you.

About the friendship between Six and Sky and Sky with Breckin, tell you what? At first I'm so jealous of Sky for having friends like them. Not only because they are incredibly awesome friends who support you in every conditions, but also because they're giving e-reader and a phone to Sky! Like it's a normal present to give to your bestie. Some parts in this novel are too good to be true like Holder, and best friends like Six and Breckin.

Tapi kemudian dia selalu ada dimana saja Daisy berada. Di klub malam, di perpustakaan, dan bahkan di tempat penjualan kond*m. Karena kepolosannya, Jack sangat suka menggoda Daisy dan Daisy dengan mudahnya terpancing semua kata godaan dari Jack. Bagian mereka beradu mulut selalu menjadi hiburan tersendiri buatku.

Awalnya Hillsboro terlihat sangat aman. Namun kematian-kematian aneh mulai bermunculan. Dan semuanya adalah wanita yang meninggal karena dicecoki GHB, semacam obat yang digunakan dengan mencampurkannya ke dalam minuman untuk membius korban agar si korban tidak berdaya. Pelakunya memakai GHB sehingga ia dapat memerkosa korban dengan mudah dan tanpa perlawanan. Setelah diperkosa, korban kebanyakan akan meninggal karna formula GHB yang terlalu tinggi.

Daisy menjadi incaran para pembunuh ketika ia secara tak sengaja menyaksikan pembunuhan terhadap pelaku GHB terjadi. Pembunuhnya adalah orang dalam yang menjadi kepercayaan masyarakat disana. Daisy yang tak tahu sedang berada dalam bahaya dengan santainya melenggang ke klub malam. Tapi Jack yang sudah mencium ada aksi pembunuhan, khawatir terjadi apa-apa pada Daisy sehingga terus melindunginya.

Jack sounds like my mom lol. But it's all true. Lesson learned! Secara keseluruhan aku suka. Tapi suspensenya nanggung. Kurang menegangkan, dan kurang mencekam.  Romancenya pas. Daisy yang polos vs Jack yang berpengalaman. Lol. Oh dan Midas, anjing golden retriever yang dibeli Daisy benar-benar menggemaskan.

Pelaku membuatnya terlihat seolah-olah itu adalah perampokan dan orang yang membangkang akan ditembaknya, tapi kenyataannya tidaklah begitu sederhana. Dan Julie Rutledge mati-matian mengatakan bahwa Creighton-lah pembunuhnya. Yang ia tak punya hanyalah bukti.

Derek Mitchell pertama kali bertemu Julie di pesawat. Tanpa mengetahui siapa dia dan apa kasus yang menimpanya, Derek menaruh hati pada Julie. Mereka saling bertegur sapa dan mulai perbincangan. Namun siapa yang menyangka kalau ternyata mereka lebih suka bersama di dalam kamar kecil pesawat daripada sekedar berbincang? :)

Sejak awal kita sudah diberitahu bahwa Creighton-lah orang jahatnya. Namun hanya kita (para pembaca), dan Julie Rutledge yang tahu bahwa dia-lah dalang dibalik kematian Paul. Tapi Derek, pengacara pembela yang awalnya dibayar untuk membela Creighton mulai menyangsikan kebenaran dari perkataan Creighton. Ia memiliki alibi yang kuat, tapi akhirnya Derek menolak membela Creighton dan berbalik membela Julie Rutledge.

Selain memang karena perlu dibela, semua bukti yang ditemukan polisi dan detektif mengarah kepada Julie. Tentunya semuanya sudah dipersiapkan secara matang oleh Creighton. Karena kegilaannya pada film, ia selalu menerapkan tindakannya sesuai dengan film yang ia tonton.

Buku ini memiliki banyak sekali rahasia. Penulis seakan melemparkan potongan-potongan puzzle dan mempersilahkan kita untuk memecahkan misteri itu. Aku sempat beberapa kali berspekulasi tentang satu dan dua hal, tapi tebakanku meleset. Seperti yang kubilang diawal, buku ini memiliki banyak rahasia dan untuk dapat memecahkan rahasia itu, kita harus membacanya hingga akhir cerita.

Dan oh, aku suka sekali dengan chemistry Derek dan Julie. Awalnya mereka tidak saling percaya, namun pada akhirnya mereka saling membela dan saling menguatkan satu sama lain. What a sweet couple and a great team!

"Karena terhitung saat ini, aku adalah pengacara resmi keluarga Wheeler. Karena kau menuduh salah satu dari mereka beberapa kejahatan, yang membuat kita berada dalam posisi berlawanan di mata hukum. Last time I read and made a review about Obsidian that was telling about Daemon, and Shadows is part of it. It is the story of the lost-or-maybe-dead brother, Dawson. Living in a human form makes Dawson, Daemon and Dee and the other aliens can easily blend with humankind. The aliens called themselves as The Luxen, it means 'light' because everytime they overused their powers, their bodies will be bright and shine like a light or worse, sun.

Most of the Luxen are twins or triplets. Nobody notices them as aliens, if one does, DOD (The Department of Defense) will take care of it. You need to read it by yourself to know why DOD protects them. But it doesn't make them to live in peace because Arums are looking for them to kill and absord their powers. So, the point is Arums are bad news for the Luxen and they are more powerful at night.

Dawson never fall in love with a human, make out  is one thing, but having a relationship with a human is a big no for Luxen. It's way too risky. But when he met Bethany Williams for the first time, he couldn't stop thinking about her. And she also felt the same thing.

"Talk to you tonight?" 
"Of course."
"You're calling me."
"Yeah, that's right."
"Good, because I really don't think I can go to sleep without hearing your voice now."
Isn't it just sweet? I'm sensing a new-born couple here. Maybe it sounds a bit lame or whatever but love is just like that right? When you love someone, you don't even notice that you want to change your life for him/her.

How are they going to maintain their relationship while everyone seemed to disapprove with their relationship?

"I love you, Dawson. I love who you are, what you are. And I don't think love recognizes differences. It just is. And we really aren't that different."

I've read Obsidian and I know how Dawson's brother, Daemon really hates humans. And he has a good reason of why he doesn't want to get involved with any human. But still, love can change everyone and everything. 

"This is going to blow up in your face - in all of our faces. There's a reason why humans don't know about us. They are fickle and insane!" 
Then Ash twisted toward Daemon, her cheeks flushed. "I can't believe you;re allowing him to do this. Next thing we know, you'll be dating a human." "
Yeah, not going to happen."


How funny it is when I read what Daemon said about his brother being crazy about love with a human. Coz' later Daemon will fall in love with a human as well, though he's kinda not admit it :D

 Kat and her mother just moved from Florida to Virginia. They decided to move since Florida just left them with a hurtful memory. Kat's Dad died of cancer and thereafter nothing's the same anymore. Kat's mother started working more and more but then she finally decided they need a fresh start.

Ever since they moved, Kat has nothing to do except blogging. Then her mother asked her to befriend with two kids about Kat's age next door. Not want to let her mom down, she went to their house. And the impression of the guy next door is just so hillarious. Kat couldn't help staring at his naked chest and anything that you probably want to read it by yourself. Her head warned her to keep steady but her voice betrayed her XD

The guy next door's name is Daemon. At first I wondered why his name isn't Damon just like 'Damon' on Vampire Diaries, even my friends were questioned it and mistook it as Damon VD. But it doesn't matter at all because both men are so hawt :D

Well back to the book, Daemon is kinda pissed off with Kat for no reason, but Daemon's twin sister shows the opposite attraction to her. Dee likes Kat as soon as she saw her and she intends to be a close friend with Kat. Dee has a trick for her brother to get close with Kat, but of course, either Kat or Daemon dislike the idea of spending time together.

When Kat hang around with Dee and Daemon, somehow she can tell that something isn't right. Sometimes the weather and cloud can just instantly changed into lightning and storms, and in a blink of an eye, the cloud has become normal back. And how come a guy no matter how hot he is could dive under the water like ten minutes or so?

The suspicion grow stronger the night Kat was attacked by stranger who asked her,'Where they are?', 'You are a trace.' and something like that. Kat was freaked out and the stranger was no kidding in hitting and kicking her. When she thought that night was the last night for her before she died, Daemon came and took control. She was rushed to the hospital, did dozen of X-rays but thankfully she could go home that night. She believed she would have a bad hit on her face and body but when she woke up on the next day, she barely has bruises anymore. Weird.

Who are they? or the exact question is 'What are they?' Not to mention there are bunch of kids and adults like Dee and Daemon around the town. What are they capable of? and Who was the attacker?

When I read the first chapter, I immediately love this book. I love the never-end-conversation between Daemon and Kat, they always find something to argue and when they started to throw bomb to each other, no one can stop them. I just admired the love and hate relationship between them, and it grows stronger day to day.

 "I think it would be best if you'd stay away from me."

"No can do."

Wow...Teenlit ini benar-benar 'something'. A must-read book! Berawal dari rasa penarasan saya pada buku ini setelah membaca beberapa review dari teman di Goodreads, lalu saya pun berusaha mencari buku ini toko buku. Benar saja, semakin dicari barang yang kita inginkan malah semakin susah didapatkan. Jadi saya mencoba sabar dan menanti untuk beberapa saat. Lalu beberapa hari yang lalu ketika saya sedang berkunjung di toko buku di salah satu mall terbesar di Medan, Obsesi sudah tersusun dengan manis di rak buku Teenlit.

Begitu baca lembaran pertama, I immediately can tell this book is good. Ceritanya fresh, unik, suasananya menyeramkan, mencekam, dan kerap kali saya baca ini sambil merinding disko. Biasanya kalo teenlit ceritanya nggak jauh-jauh dari cinta dan sekolah, maka Obsesi pun menyuguhkan cerita yang kurang lebih sama, tapi ditambah dengan bumbu-bumbu misteri. It makes the book totally different than the others.

Jadi ceritanya di sekolah SMA Persada Internasional terdapat tiga orang siswi yang bernama Jenny. Celakanya, ketiga siswa yang bernama Jenny malah ditempatkan didalam kelas yang sama. Alhasil karena tak ingin bingung dalam memanggil ketiga Jenny tsb, maka semua siswa dan guru hingga pegawai sekolah memanggil mereka dengan nama, Jenny Tompel, Jenny Bajaj dan Jenny Jenazah. Alasannya sangat menggelikan. Aku tak berhenti ketawa karena nama-nama aneh ini. Nama-nama aneh ini muncul bukan karena tanpa alasan. XD

Tidak seperti Jenny Tompel dan Jenny Bajaj yang dikucilkan oleh teman-teman sekelas mereka, Jenny Jenazah agaknya lebih beruntung dalam hal berteman. Hal itu disebabkan karena Jenny Jenazah berteman dengan Hanny, siswi cantik dan terkenal suka gonta-ganti pacar. Maka Jenny Jenazah pun dikenal menjadi Jenny dari 'Hanny dan Jenny'. Selain memiliki sahabat wanita, Hanny juga memiliki teman lelaki bernama Johan yang selalu mendukungnya di setiap kesempatan.

Persahabatan Hanny dan Jenny pun cukup akrab dan mereka termasuk sahabat yang jarang bertengkar karena Jenny cukup memahami Hanny dan lebih banyak mengalah pada Hanny. Dan disetiap kencannya, Hanny pun kerap mengajak Jenny untuk ikut serta bersama dirinya, entah itu jjs(jalan-jalan sore) ke mall, atau hanya lunch bersama pacar Hanny dan teman-temannya.

Secara tak diduga-duga, Tony, cowok yang selama ini ditaksir oleh Hanny dan kebanyakan siswi di sekolah mereka pun mengajak Hanny dan Jenny untuk hang out bersama. Tak kebayang betapa senangnya Hanny dan Jenny. Walau merasa hanya sebagai pendamping Hanny, Jenny cukup senang karena bisa menghabiskan waktu bersama Tony dan teman baiknya Markus.

Tony adalah tetangga Jenny yang tinggal berseberangan dengan Jenny. Sedangkan Jenny tinggal disebuah rumah tua yang cukup besar tapi terasa sangat 'dark'. Semenjak hari mereka hangout bersama, hari-hari disekolah mereka tak pernah terasa aman lagi. Dua murid mengalami kecelakaan. Dan anehnya, kedua murid itu sama-sama bernama Jenny. Ya, mereka adalah Jenny Tompel dan Jenny Bajaj, lantas apakah ini hanyalah kebetulan belak? Atau ada yang ingin mencelakakan mereka?. Ini adalah buku pertama Mary Higgins Clark yang kubaca. Ceritanya cukup bagus, temanya unik, tapi sayang cara penyelesaiannya terlalu mudah sehingga gak dapat gregetnya. Tapi buku ini tetap layak dibaca dan setelah ini saya jadi ingin membaca karya-karya Mary Higgins Clark lainnya.

Pernahkah mereka berpikir tentang Rose walau sedetikpun?? Bagaimana Audy harus berupaya untuk mendekatkan Rose dengan keluarga mereka lagi jika Rose bahkan sudah menyerah dan memilih untuk diam?

Buku ini sukses membuat saya speechless dan merinding pada saat yang bersamaan. Berbeda dari buku-buku ci Rina sebelumnya, buku ini totally different dan memiliki banyak kejutan-kejutan yang hanya akan kita ketahui setelah kita membacanya. Dan dijamin semua bakal pada speechless seperti saya. And you know what? Buku yang tebal enggak menjamin kualitas dari isi suatu buku. Dan dibanding dengan buku2 lain, buku yang tergolong tipis ini sanggup dan sukses membuat saya (again and again) speechless.  Hanya satu kata yaitu SALUT kepada ci Rina karena this book is really good and it's really worth to buy and read. Highly recommended!!

Hartley Grace Featherstone has a perfect life. BFF? , good grades? gorgeous boyfriend? She has it all.
However, it doesn't seem like you gonna have a perfect life like forever,and so does Hartley's. Her fortune seems not following her anymore. Heard an issue her boyfriend was cheating on her with Courtney made Hartley pissed off, yet she didn't believe the rumor since Courtney has signed as a member of Chastity club and there's no way her boyfriend wanna go with another girl besides Hartley. But well, it's hard to ignore the rumor when most people at your school were talking about it. 


Hartley tried to contact Josh for many times but got a zero response. So, she and Sam,her bff went to his house. Surprisingly, they found a dead body. It's Courtney's. Who killed her? Is that Josh? But why?


Soon, after the police came and asked them a few questions, Josh became the prime suspect in this case. But he can't be found anywhere. Where is he? Is he hiding on something? 


Well, after that horrible incident, Hartley and Sam met up with Josh's neighbour Chase, the member of the Herbert Hoover High Homepage, the school's online newspaper. Some informations were given after they made a deal. The deal is Chase will help them to find the killer and he and the Homepage will get the exclusive story in return. 


The way the author wrote his appearance, i think he's not bad at all. In fact, this Chase boy is kinda hot. LOL. and i'm not the only one who feel it, Hartley also feel the same thing. HA!. They suspect many persons who dislike Courtney but found no one who seems to have the urge to kill her and framed Josh. During their investigation, another dead body was found and it freaked them out. and again, Hartley has to be the one who found the body. Will she find the real killer without harming herself?

I love how Hartley is so honest to herself, to her feelings toward her to Josh and Chase. well, I just love people who respect themselves, after all.

The truth was, I'd lied to a lot of people in the past week. As much as I'd been pissed at Josh for lying to me, I'd turned around become what I'd hated him for. Granted, I hadn't professed my undying love to Chase, then gotten naked with some guy behind his back. 

"But as much as he'd been my first love, he'd also been the first guy to ever cheat on me. And if I'd learned anything from my near-barbecuing experience, it was that life was way too short to spend with someone who didn't respect me."

This is my first time to read Gemma's book and I gotta say this book is awesome! While some author seemed to be more interested in romance or fantasy genre, Gemma tried a different way of choosing the genre. and I love it. Soon after I read the first page, I was so into it and can't help but continue to read until midnight. I think this book deserve a high rating so I gave it 5stars. I love everything about this book. Gorgeous cover, the storyline, the chemistry between Hartley and Sam and Hartley and Chase and I love the funny thing about Sam's brother's car. LOL you will find out what's so funny about his car soon after you read the book. 


I highly recommend this book to everyone. It's a very light fun read and you won't get bored even just for a second. Because all you want to do is to read page after page to know who the real killer is and Hartley, Chase and Sam with her brother's car (lol) will help you to find it. :)
